A large IT technology group based in Manchester requires an experienced digital marketer with solid e-commerce expertise, to work directly with the Marketing Director, to support further growth via online & offline channels. This group is comprised of several market-leading brands and due to continued success, they are looking to grow their in-house marketing team.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Digital Marketing Manager will develop, implement, track and optimise every facet of a multi-channel digital marketing plan and customer journey to increase transactional sales of IT products via a digital marketplace and increase inbound lead generation for sales of offline IT services. Your focus will be the acquisition of new site visitors and driving the highest revenue per visit, tracking engagement, optimising conversion and retention of a growing customer base. You will integrate with offline elements of the marketing mix, and lead a digital team and external resources; devise, manage and execute all web, Search (paid/organic), retargeting and display advertising campaigns, plus coordinate email, social media and content marketing. You will also measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) on a regular basis, and identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on insights. You will also spot, create and curate assets and revenue streams with affiliates and our vendor partners and collaborate with internal and external resources and agencies where needed to support the role, including web operations, design, writers, supply chain, SEO & PPC.
What we’re looking for
It is essential to have extensive experience in a similar digital marketing, e-commerce/multi-channel retailing role and a BA in Marketing, Digital Marketing, qualified CIM or similar. You’ll need demonstrable experience managing people and external resources, and delivering successful SEO, PPC, display, affiliate programmes, email marketing, social media and content marketing in an e-commerce based environment. It is also important to have experience with A/B and multivariate testing and have solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Webmaster tools, Google Insights, Webstream, CrazyEgg, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends etc). You’ll also be up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement, and have a commitment to continuous learning through workshops, seminars and conferences.
What’s on offer?
