12 month fixed term contract for an experienced Communications Manager to join a third sector organisation, where you’ll have the opportunity to implement an approved communications plan.
Starting as soon as possible, you’ll take a hands-on approach and will be supported by a fabulous team of three. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you’ll be utilising plain, friendly, and easy to understand English to get the right tone of voice to your audience and will be leading the development of marketing materials to help communicate the brand, products and services accurately and effectively. This organisation is really moving in-line with the times, and now concentrate purely on digital communications, so you’ll be responsible for leading the online communications offering, and ensuring that the company’s website and social media meet the demands of the business, whilst also keeping up to speed the new trends to ensure that they remain ahead of the game. As large employers, you will also be leading on the delivery of colleague communications to ensure that their most valuable assets (their people) are up to speed with the latest business news and that they are engaged in the company’s very unique and caring culture.
What we’re looking for
To be considered for this role, it’s a given that you will have all relevant communications skills needed for this level. It’s essential that you are able to ‘join up the dots’ when work is briefed to ensure that opportunities are maximised, you must be an experienced and professional copywriter who is aware of their target audience, you’ll be a skilled project manager who has proven experience of leading and motivating a team to deliver actions, and will be capable of working seamlessly across the team, and able to deliver the best service possible. In addition to this, you’ll have experience of delivering effective internal communications to a diverse and vast range of colleagues, be a social media whizz, and be able to keep abreast of emerging digital trends. It would also be great if you had a working knowledge of web development, but be rest assured you certainly don’t need coding skills, but experience of using a content management system is a must.
