SEO and PPC Executive

Brief Overview

SEO and PPC Executive required for an online retailer in Birmingham. This company has an ambitious expansion strategy which you could be part of!

The role

This is a junior level position but big things will be expected of you! You’ll support the digital marketing team to bring in new traffic, through both SEO and PPC techniques. On the SEO side of things, you’ll assist with the creation and execution of SEO Strategies. You’ll support the digital marketing team by conducting on and off-site analysis,  link building, keyword research (to support SEM campaigns) and compiling regular performance reports (using Google Analytics and other SEO applications). You’ll assist the content team in the creation of high quality, informative SEO content as well. On the PPC side, you’ll help to define PPC strategies by assisting with devising, optimising, implementing and managing paid search campaigns, ensuring that landing pages are effectively optimised for maximum conversion. You’ll work with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure that search activity is in line with the larger search marketing and digital marketing strategy. Aside from this, you’ll analyse the performance of paid search campaigns, assist with best practice guidelines in maintaining PPC campaigns, perform keyword research and report on bid management whilst obviously keeping up to date with the latest industry trends.

What we’re looking for

It’s your passion for SEO, PPC and numerical thinking that will determine your success in this role. The job specification has been deliberately devised to include duties which would usually belong to an Assistant Digital Marketing Manager because the client would like to see you move up to ADMM in the near future. The company are investing hugely in growing their digital marketing team and intend to promote from within. As this client has high expectations, they need someone who knows SEO and PPC like the back of their hand! The post holder will have a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role, an analytical mindset, a passion for data-driven results, strong attention to detail plus excellent communication, copywriting and reporting skills. You’ll need to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Webmaster Tools, Analytics, Tag Manager, various SEO tools, and competitor analysis tools, Adwords, Facebook, search platforms, Google Merchant Center, Facebook Catalogue and product marketing. Interest in this role is high, so please make sure that your CV includes plenty of evidence to support your suitability.
