Brief Overview

Situated on the outskirts of Manchester, this is an Account Director opening with a multi-award winning FMCG focused marketing and brand activation agency, where you will be given the opportunity to work with iconic brands which can only add value to your career. They’ve got their culture spot on and believe heavily in nurturing and developing their people which is backed up by first-class levels of staff retention.

The role

They are building a brilliant reputation for producing innovative brand-enhancing campaigns as well as a burgeoning habit for picking up a boatload of accolades & prizes at award ceremonies. They are fast building a rep for the go-to agency for a whole host of well-known FMCG brands and need someone that has a knack for continually adding value to their client’s business by virtue of delivering high-end creative work that positively impact sales.

On a day to day basis, you will be managing on-going campaigns and creative development for a select few clients, offering sound advice on how to best develop their brand identity. The work they produce is bold and innovative, and has both an online and offline focus, and you’ll oversee each campaign from brief to completion. You will be managing clients’ expectations by overseeing the creative and strategic development of each one, which will encompass all channels including TV, Radio and Outdoor advertising, Digital including Social Media and Web Advertising, In-store POS, Experiential / Events etc.

It will also involve managing budgets and timescales, guiding a team of account managers and executives, and presenting and pitching ideas to clients effectively and reporting after campaigns on their success rates. You will also contribute to the agencies growth plans and strategy, and maintain and build upon the agencies relationship with key stakeholders.


What we’re looking for

To be considered for the role, you will have considerable experience of handling consumer-focused marketing campaigns (brand activation is imperative) which will need to have been gained mainly in an agency environment. It is also important that you have a sound insight into developing both online and offline campaigns which impact on increasing consumer interaction and awareness. You’ll need a record of building mindful relationships with clients and a solid understanding of the design and branding process.

An understanding of online retail would be an advantage as is exposure to running and managing a small team of marketers or junior account handlers. The ability to work in a highly creative environment, providing accurate up to the minute retailer insight is also vastly important. To do this, you will need to have a deep understanding of retailers, their technical and operational capabilities, gained from working with prominent UK brands
