Content Account Executive

Brief Overview

Since their inception, this independent content marketing agency has not only increased their offering to the global market, they’ve also been able to consistently grow whilst also picking up a few awards along the way! Due to the scale of their growth, they’re now looking to strengthen their team by adding a Content Account Executive.

The role

The role will focus on an interesting set of B2B clients, from tech and engineering, to interiors and the built environment, and will see you get to work on a range of content related projects. Projects will include writing blog posts and editorial articles, curating video and social media posts, managing paid for activity, and growing the client’s presence and communities across a range of channels.

The content you craft will need to enrich client communication channels, and you’ll need to be able to do this across all channels, which includes research reports, opinion pieces, in-depth features for specific publications, thought leadership pieces, and other general marketing copy. It also required the creation of content which is easy to digest, so expect to be taking technical and often complex topics to engaging, value added content which holds attention.

From time to time, you will also be involved in media relations, meaning that you’ll be crafting content to secure editorial opportunities, managing incoming media enquiries and building relationships with industry journalists.  A key part will also be client contact as well as analytics and evaluation – using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

What we’re looking for

It’s expected that you’ll have at least 12 months experience under your belt and it’s essential that you are an expert when it comes to the digital content space. Great copywriting skills are a must, and you’ll need a strong sense of what works across different channels. B2B experience would also be a distinct advantage.

In some respects, the role may suit an experienced PR practitioner who is more at home with content, but still enjoys client contact, who has no less than 1-2 years’ experience in a related environment. Agency expertise is preferred but candidates dealing with numerous stakeholders in a B2B environment will most definitely be considered.

What’s on offer?

You will be working for a modern, forward thinking business that are innovative, creative, and effective within the content marketing industry. A salary of between £20,000 and £23,000 is on offer, plus great benefits such as 25 days holidays, individual training budget, and your birthdays off to name a few! Other benefits you may not find in other, bigger agencies are on offer too, as well as the opportunity to help grow an already successful agency which has a brilliant level of staff retention and development.
