A global B2B specialised engineering based PLC is looking for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to help develop and execute strategic content marketing initiatives, improving its marketing communication activities through the production of engaging content built around the customer journey for its target audiences across a range of channels and platforms.
Working as part of the group marketing team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a content strategy, managing the creation, curation, and syndication process utilising their content as a strategic asset, to attract and retain customers. The primary focus will be to get the right content to the right audience at the right time.
The company’s looking for a marketing communications professional with proven experience in creating content strategies, alongside crafting content as a writer, editor, and director, working with photographers, designers, and printers. You will oversee the development and management of strategic, content marketing initiatives that create value for their customers and use customer/market research and analysis to direct effective content marketing strategies and planning that’s customer-focused.
You will collaborate across companies, functions, and silos to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives, and will develop and manage editorial calendars and organization content workflows. You will also measure and optimise the content programme and will collaborate and influence colleagues to generate new and repurposed content opportunities. Another aspect will be to manage the production of the quarterly newsletter and editorial requirements including SEO understanding, content categorisation and structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
What we’re looking for
You’ll need a strong B2B background and must be a true collaborator, as while the role will be tasked with content production, it will also be responsible for considering how content might be re-distributed and/or re-purposed for other channels in partnership with marketing colleagues and subject matter experts throughout the organisation. You will have a marketing, business or relevant degree, and the ability to communicate key messages in marketing terms as well as an excellent journalistic writing style. You’ll also need experience of building B2B audiences both on and offline combined with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and writing information.
