The role

We’re on the lookout for a Corporate Communications Executive to join this growing legal and professional services group as part of a wider marketing communications team based in the centre of Birmingham. There are many elements that make this a pretty unique organisation to work for, but one of them is the way their comms team works.

Yes, you’ll be taking briefs, researching and drafting press releases, internal news stories, blog posts, and thought leadership articles, but you’ll also be achieving very high profile national coverage for a number of thought leaders within the firm as well as the clients they represent which makes it akin to an agency.

You’ll work with some of the industry’s most decorated PR professionals who will be on hand to mentor and develop you through your career. You’ll have some involvement with social media, although this is mainly covered by the digital team with heavy input from comms, but you’ll be monitoring and digging through social for threads about the group’s clients.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with a broad communications background who can demonstrate superb writing skills with excellent organisation and project management skills. Our client is open to background, but it is more likely you’ll be from a B2B background rather than consumer, and obviously a professional services background is going to be an advantage.

Agency candidates who have worked with corporate clients are also encouraged to apply! You’ll have at least 2 years’ experience working in comms and you must be able to demonstrate confidence with selling in to national print and broadcast media, as well as regional, local, and trade press.
