Designer  – Mansfield (hybrid working)   

Brief Overview

Opportunity to act as the Creative Lead within this government-funded organisation, designing and delivering concepts for publications, digital and corporate documents.

The role:

As a government-funded body, communication is key to this organisation, whether it be to MP’s and stakeholders or to the general public and ensuring it’s appealing and exciting to read is a major part of this role.  Working within the communications team, as designer you will be responsible for all aspects of design, delivering visual collateral in whatever form it may take – print, infographics, web and digital channels.

You’ll take the lead on all corporate print and digital publications, including Annual reports and Accounts and Business plans and you’ll be the design expert who provides advice and recommendations for all colleagues across the organisation.

You’ll deliver the full design process from concept and development through to delivery including developing a framework of external suppliers to assist in the management and delivery of design work.  You’ll develop and publish content for websites, staff intranet, e-newsletters and will work alongside others to develop audio-visual content including photography, videos, podcasts, and webinars.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced creative who can demonstrate experience of developing positive relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders and suppliers, as well as designing to brand guidelines.  You’ll be keen to incorporate accessibility requirements into your design to ensure they’re fully invlusive as well as being able to demonstrate brilliant skills across digital and print.

Naturally, you’ll have fabulous knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and will have experience of managing and developing digital content (eg Gif’s, infographics).  You may also have some great writing skills, although this isn’t a deal-breaker, and you’ll have experience of creating and managing digital content through a content management system, such as WordPress.

What’s on Offer?

Salary for the role is dependent on experience, but the banding is between £28,500 and £31,500, plus there is hybrid working currently 2 days within the office and a range of flexible working options to fit around your lifestyle.  27 days holiday plus bank holidays are standard and there’s a fabulous pension scheme on offer.
