Digital Content Executive

Brief Overview

This is a first-class opening with a FTSE 250 property development business that has a rich history of prestige and success, specialising in housebuilding, industrial and logistics property, and promoting and master-developing sites. It is headquartered on the outskirts of Birmingham and has a network of four regional offices across the UK.

The role

The uniqueness of this opportunity is that you will be joining a team that is truly evolving but has retained a great culture and ethos which is driven by collaboration and success.

The primary function is that you will be responsible for the delivery and publishing of creative digital, multimedia, and print assets that support the business’ internal and external communications strategy. The role plays a major part in enhancing awareness of the company within the digital space as well as driving website traffic.

The wider remit is that you will be working closely with the communications team to create engaging content for internal and external use, including, but not limited to – videos, photography, social media assets, such as posting images and banners, infographics, animated videos (using third-party tools, if required), newsletters & brochures. You will also assist in updating and managing corporate websites and internal intranet site as well as scheduling and publishing social media content. It will also involve creating email marketing campaigns, taking ownership of and managing the video and image library, and ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to both internally and by third parties.

A key part will also be about building and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs, Senior Communications Manager and Engagement & Communications Executive in delivering agreed activities.

What we’re looking for

It is essential that you have solid experience of creating content for social media and online, this may have been gained in-house or within an agency environment. We envisage that you will have between 1 – 2 years’ experience and it is imperative that you have finely honed writing skills, impeccable grammar and are able to produce content that is engaging, informative, and drives brand awareness.

You will also need experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite as well as an understanding of social media and publishing tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer) and enjoy observing trends and spotting emerging platforms/tools. Experience of using WordPress CMS to update websites and using email marketing systems (e.g. MailChimp) is also important.

Above all else, you’ll have solid experience of producing a wide range of materials across different assets and will have a desire to put your stamp on a role that will see you grow with the team over time.
