Digital Designer

Brief Overview

This is a career-boosting role with a digital agency based in the heart of Manchester. They’ve been going a few years now but still have that start-up vibe and culture and have been smashing it out of the park when it comes to delivering websites that are way beyond the norm.

The role

Their clients are predominantly business to business and cover different sectors, as do their requirements, which makes this engaging and interesting. They’ve also done exceptionally well in a short space of time via intelligent hires and producing work that breaks the norm and is now keen to hire a Digital Designer who is moving up the ranks and can add value. Working closely with the Head of Design, you will work on a mix of web design projects which will relate to either existing or new brands – you’ll work on the latter from the ground up, so plenty of room to utilise your true creativity as well.

The work will include websites, in-browser tools, display adverts, emails and landing pages following UX best-practices at all times, as well as content marketing assets such as eBooks, infographics, PDFs, or case studies. You’ll be responsible for the UI / UX and flow of the main client websites, from start to finish, working closely with the design and development teams. You will also be expected to prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders, identifying and troubleshooting any potential UX problems.

What we’re looking for

Above all else, someone that wants to work in an agency that is growing at a quick pace but still retains a grounded and personable culture. You’ll need a portfolio that reflects a high level of demonstrable UX design skills as well as the key fundamentals of UX processes and testing, improving customer journeys, site mapping, and engagement through effective design. You will also need an advanced array of design tools and ability, mature methods, and techniques for user journeys, as well as a natural creative eye when it comes to creating high-end and emotive modern websites.

In essence, we are looking for someone with around 4+ years’ experience in a digital design capacity who is looking to move into a role that has a fair chunk of responsibility and ample room for personal development. You’ll also be someone who has a genuine interest in working with evolving B2B brands, particularly tech-related and is comfortable taking hold of a project and driving it to completion – keeping both internal teams and clients on-track.
