Digital & Ecommerce Manager

Brief Overview

This is an opportunity to work with a popular Midlands’ brand as Digital & Ecommerce Manager.

The role:

Our client is a retailer with bricks and mortar sites as well as a very successful ecommerce retail model and as Digital & Ecommerce Manager it will be your responsibility to develop the look and feel of all marketing materials as well as developing and executing a digital strategy that grows sales and profit for the website and drives footfall into store.  This is a key leadership role within the business, and you’ll work closely with several other teams including buying & merchandising, technology as well as external marketing agencies (web development, creative and PPC).

You’ll be involved with the production and development of advertising (press and digital) and will ensure consistency of the marketing message whether it be a TV or radio advert or instore POS.  You’ll manage a team consisting of Designers, copywriters, and generalist marketers and you’ll liaise with the development agency to schedule and plan website development and maintenance.

From an e-commerce perspective you will shape the strategy, optimising traffic and conversion and ensuring the customer experience is positive and evolving.  You’ll work across digital marketing channels to ensure customer acquisition, including email marketing campaigns, social media, PPC and SEO.

What we’re looking for:

You’ll have fantastic experience within ecommerce and will definitely have experience of Magento, but you’ll also be comfortable working across all digital channels and you’ll also have some offline experience.  It would be great if you’ve worked for a retailer which sells both online and in stores and you’ll have previous experience of managing a small team.

You’ll be creative and used to briefing internal and external design teams and may have some familiarity with Adobe design software such as Indesign or Photoshop.  Experience of CRM and Google Analytics goes without saying and you’ll be familiar with Google Ads, Facebook Business and Microsoft Ads (even if you’ve managed someone else who was a PPC specialist).
