We’re working with a B2B retailer as they look to add a Digital Marketing Specialist to their growing digital team.
This is a real opportunity to join a household name as they go from strength to strength, increasing their digital and e-commerce presence as part of their wider marketing team. There’s a large marketing team, but this role sits within the part of digital marketing responsible for all actions associated with the website.
You’ll be responsible for implementing digital marketing campaigns across the website and ensuring the website is accurate and up to date with all the latest campaigns and information such as product and branch details. You’ll manage a monthly plan to schedule content updates and campaigns and you’ll manage and optimise site functionality to improve search results and promote relevant offers.
Customer journey is also important and you’ll use a variety of available web tools as well as recommending and testing new functionality, as well as creating new web content to build engagement and drive traffic. Analytics and reporting will naturally form a part of your role as well and you’ll use Google Analytics to track performance.
There’s a large, wider marketing and creative team and you’ll have responsibility for briefing in media assets to designers, and liaising with product teams in order to ensure the most relevant and successful campaigns, but you’ll also work closely with external agencies for
What we’re looking for:
This role is the first of two to be recruited into this team, so there is a degree of flexibility on the skills of the person they undertake, but you’ll definitely need at least two years’ experience of working with web CMS systems such as WordPress or Magento, and you’ll need to have launched web marketing campaigns.
You may well have worked on an ecommerce site before, although this isn’t essential, but you’ll have a good understanding of either SEO or merchandising.. You’ll be passionate about digital marketing and be happy working in a small, very fast-paced team. You will need to be proficient with email service providers such as Mailchimp or Dotdigital and be proficient with Google Tools such as Analytics, Tag Manger and Search Console and an understanding of Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Google Designer would be an advantage.
