Brand new role for a digital specialist designer, ideally with some experience of ecommerce to join a Birmingham based group of companies.
Like many companies, our client has seen their business model switch much more towards a digital model. They’re an award-winning manufacturer and distributer and now direct seller of health and lifestyle products as well as having brands within the restaurant sector.
And as the shops locked down, they built a brand-new ecommerce site which will be a massive part of their strategy moving forward. You’ll work on between 6-10 very different brands taking the lead on all things web and UX, developing concepts but also bouncing ideas around with the other 4 designers within the team (and 3 Developers).
You’ll be ready for hands-on projects at every stage of the lifecycle, from brainstorming new brand concepts and developing original campaigns, to participating in presentations and ensuring deadlines are met, all the way through to launch.
What we’re looking for:
We need a proven digital designer, with plenty of examples of beautifully crafted and highly functional websites for desktop and mobile. You’ll probably have about 5 years’ experience of creative design experience with a strong background of creative and conceptual thinking.
You don’t need to have development skills, but you do need to have an appreciation of a developers role in building websites taking into account time and cost implications. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of designing intuitive website functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces and navigation. You’ll be creative, and take constructive feedback as a positive. It is essential that you have an uptodate portfolio demonstrating your conceptual ability. Experience of Sketch, Illustrator and Photoshop are essential.
