Group Marketing Manager
Brief Overview
This is an opening with a hotel & leisure group that is packed with prestige & a rich cultural heritage, and to you, their real appeal lies in the heady mix of the culture & environment, which is incredibly grounded, and underpinned by an incredible record of retaining and growing people from within.
They stand out from the crowd by virtue of the wonderful experiences they continually provide to their target audience, and whilst they have continued to be one of the most prestigious in the region, they’ve never lost sight of their roots, and who they are. For their employees, they have created an environment where individual differences are appreciated, communication is open, and the kind of atmosphere that creates goodwill & strong feelings of security & self-worth.
The role
It will offer you the chance to work for a company which is synonymous with quality & luxury, and their ability to stay the course, over many decades, is nothing short of phenomenal. Their principal commitment to its people is to inspire and empower, and it’s something the business is deeply passionate about.
There are 5 very different hotels & leisure venues under the one umbrella, each one requiring a slightly different approach, which in effect makes the role more engaging & interesting. Some are large and others, a tad quirkier & more intimate & you will oversee brand awareness building campaigns, online & offline to drive & enhance engagement.
You will also oversee a small team that looks after social media & reviews, content & blogs and manage digital marketing efforts. At ground level, you will ensure all customer facing touch points are kept fresh (including website and digital marketing campaigns) & nurture established partners to expand on the collaboration opportunities.
What we’re looking for
We want to be up front – this is without question, a hands-on role and will suit someone who just loves marketing and wants to get back to doing the things they love – design, branding, digital and all the things that touches the heart & minds of your audience. You’ll also be someone that loves interacting with others and helping junior marketers become better at what they do.
You’ll need a fair clump of experience in a senior marketing role preferably within the hospitality or leisure industry, although this is not a deal breaker, and stating the obvious – a proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies. Tactful leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team is vital, alongside strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and data as well as knowledge of digital marketing & social media platforms.
Attitude & temperament is key in this role – this hotel group has been around for many years & has made a deep impact on the market, since it has been superbly positioned, marketed, and differentiated. For this reason, you will need a sound understanding of how to make the best use of creativity, social & digital technology, and wider marketing channels to deliver communications that provide the most value to this brand.
What’s on offer
A salary of around £48,500, plus extensive benefits, and a company that has a proven history of rewarding and enhancing the careers of passionate people.
A culture which is caring & driven by empowering its people to perform at the best of their abilities, plus an office space which is designed specifically for personal welfare & enjoyment.
The role is office based but it’s a gorgeous setting, and not your stereo typical office set up, so if idyllic grounds, and a peaceful setting is your jam, alongside many other benefits which will help your working life in more ways than one, do give this some serious consideration.
