Junior Creative / Artworker

Brief Overview

This is a fine opportunity for an up & coming creative to join the in-house creative team of a superlative lifestyle & consumer brand, which is a true success story – their growth over the past few years has been nothing short of phenomenal, and shows no sign of abating.

The office environment is unreal & beyond which is why they regularly appear in The Times Top 20 companies and are pioneers and innovators in their fields of property, lifestyle, and leisure. You will be hard pushed to find a company that consistently produces a high level of sublime creative work and moving forward, will add so much to your career.

The role

You will be joining a nurturing environment that encourages colleagues to develop, perform and excel at what they do and provides plenty of opportunities for career progression.  They have an exemplary record of developing people from the ground up & many of their senior creatives & marketers started in relatively junior roles.

The work has a lean towards the property & lifestyle sectors & you will work on an eclectic mix of online and offline projects which will relate to either existing or new brands – you’ll work on the latter from the ground up, so plenty of room to utilise your true creativity. The work will include everything from modern and finely executed printed material to engaging online assets and advertising, and both small and large-scale projects. You will ensure branding stays consistent across all mediums and contribute ideas and design consultation to a mix of briefs.

The environment runs along very similar lines to a brand / integrated agency, so you’ll have the best of both worlds if you are looking to move from an agency to an innovative client-side setting.

A key part of the role will be to be work alongside other creatives and the wider marketing team, sharing ideas and working cohesively to create work that sets the creative bar very high. You will also be exposed to the development of new brands from concept, ensuring the seamless transition of briefs from idea to stage to fruition. You’ll be working on brands which lean towards a culturally diverse target audience, and the style of design is extremely modern and simplistic.

What we’re looking for

First and foremost, a creative who has a clean and modern approach, and who appreciates the simplicity and elegance of balanced design; who can not only come up with ideas and well-thought-out concepts but deliver on a wide range of briefs. You’ll be able to work with stylish imagery and appreciate the use of white space and subtle typography and be comfortable with both online and offline design and marketing.   You’ll have a strong and varied portfolio and be most likely be operating in an agency environment or in-house with a brand that has a lifestyle or consumer edge to it.

It is envisaged that you will have put a couple of years under your belt and have the capacity to dive into different briefs, for different products, across different mediums, and have good skills with Adobe Creative Suite – in particular InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator (AfterEffects would be a bonus).   It will suit a brave & gutsy creative, familiar with all forms of creative assets and communication platforms, and keen to learn and understand more about those you’re not familiar with.  You’ll also be not averse to getting stuck into a mix of projects & campaigns

You’ll enjoy keeping up to date with what’s going on in design, and you’ll be able to look beyond a piece of creative and understand how imagery and words can evoke the desired reaction.

What’s on offer

On top of a salary of between £23 – £26,000, depending on experience, you’ll be joining a company that is one of the most forward-thinking and entrepreneurial led in the North West (with the record to prove it). The culture is second to none, and, with a staff retention record that is near perfect, they offer ample room for personal growth and development.

You will also be working alongside some extremely talented people in an environment you will find hard to match in the region.  Apply now or contact Simon for further information.
