This is an opportunity to formulate & drive the marketing & comms strategy, as this award-winning engineering company transitions their communications and marketing inhouse.
Whilst this is a stand-alone role initially, there is a huge amount of scope to grow a team and shape the communications moving forward.
As an engineering business, our client sells solutions which will revolutionise and transform their customer’s businesses, and they have teams based on-site with some of the most well-known, global brands.
With a fabulous head office in Birmingham they also have multiple regional offices, as well as client residencies, so their internal and external communications is absolutely key. As the lead marketer, you will contribute to the day-to-day development and execution of the internal and external communications strategy, which could include employee newsletters, emails, social media content, digital signage, as well as their Group App. You will develop the digital and social media strategy to improve their online presence and increase brand awareness and engagement.
You’ll be involved with exhibitions and events, identifying relevant exhibitions and supporting the production of relevant supporting materials, as well as organising and assisting with internal events and annual employee awards. You’ll own the communications element of the Group website including uploading news, creating new pages, as well as managing a monthly maintenance package.
You’ll also liaise with their PR agency; you won’t be able to do this job on your own, even if the aim is to move the marcomms in-house.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll have at least three years commercial experience within marcomms & internal communications and will have a relevant degree in journalism, communications, marketing, PR or similar. Naturally you’ll have fabulous communications skills and will be able to communicate effectively with a range of individuals across the organisation.
You’ll be familiar with Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress and CMS systems and will have a working knowledge of all major social media platforms.
What’s on Offer?
There’s what this role is at the moment – a brilliant opportunity to shape and develop the communications both internally and externally but also the potential for what it could become, a team management role.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, in the office 3 days per week, and salary is up to £40k. There’s a generous holiday allowance, celebration days, a Healthcare cash plan as well as a rewards system for savings and discounts.Apply for role
