This role acts as the marketing lead for an emerging brand in the Manchester hospitality scene, working alongside a close-knit team to shape brand awareness and consumer experience/retention. The firm regularly appears in The Times Top 20 companies, and are pioneers and innovators in the fields of hospitality, property, lifestyle, interiors and leisure.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, this is a complete marketing role touching on multiple online and offline disciplines. The primary responsibility is to enhance and build brand awareness which will involve a lot of creativity and innovation; you will take ownership of the continuing development of the marketing strategy for the brand, touching various marketing disciplines, but majoring on events, PR, CRM, digital and branding. Key responsibilities will see you conceive, plan and execute strategic brand awareness building campaigns & develop a calendar of tactical promotions, offers and communications to drive engagement with the customer database. You will also oversee social media & reviews, write content & blogs and manage digital marketing agencies on PPC, web optimisation and live chat. You will ensure all customer-facing points are kept fresh (including website and digital marketing campaigns) & nurture established partners to expand on the collaboration opportunities. Another aspect will be attending relevant events in Manchester to raise awareness of the brand within the city and find new routes to market & develop an effective CRM strategy to grow direct bookings and customer loyalty /engagement.
What we’re looking for
This particular brand has made a deep impact on the market, since it has been superbly positioned, marketed, and differentiated. For this reason, you will need a deep understanding of how to make the best use of creativity, insight, digital technology, and wider marketing channels to deliver communications that provide the most value to this brand. It will suit a classically trained marketer with no less than 4 – 5 years experience with innate awareness of driving a full range of innovative campaigns, including CRM, strategic consumer and B2B brand awareness, traditional and digital media, events, PR and social, and building well-considered partnerships. You’ll need a creative mind set, as you’ll be the brand custodian, and will have a head for figures, since you’ll be keeping a watchful eye on the effectiveness of campaigns. Candidates with solid marketing experience in the hospitality, property, or leisure sectors will be of particular interest. Experience and connections within the Manchester network scene is advantageous, but of equal importance is your knowledge of brand building and driving awareness.
