Since their inception over 20 years ago, this British-owned family company boasts a national and international reputation for product excellence and staff retention.
Based in modern and purpose-built office space, the company is very much built on people, and everyone makes a unique contribution to the business and its customers. They’re a significant force in their given sector and have an excellent track record of listening to what their customers need and providing the right solution every time.
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, as Marketing Manager, you’ll be joining a marketing team of 6 which provides all the marketing and design requirements for the group of companies. You’ll oversee the daily function of the marketing team, working closely with the design team, and will enjoy a fast-paced, truly hands-on role that will allow you to experience all components of the marketing mix as well as give you the opportunity to expand on your experience and add value to your continuing development. The role will eventually involve line management of 1 or 2 team members, but this won’t be immediate.
The company is a specialist within the electrical industry and its marketing is directed to both b2b and b2c audiences, so you will be involved with planning, executing, and measuring the effectiveness of marketing activity and campaigns across the full marketing mix. You’ll work with the digital specialists to create content and you’ll build new and existing relationships with the leading trade press. As well as be involved with the planning of product launches, alongside the product development team ensuring campaigns are relevant and on time, and will plan and attend trade and corporate events including exhibitions and awards ceremonies. In addition to more creative projects such as advertising schedules, writing, and editing website copy, press releases, brochures, adverts, POS, and content for social media.
What we’re looking for:
To be considered for this role, you’ll hold either a relevant degree or CIM qualifications and you’ll also have some experience managing people and their workloads, and it’s expected that you’ll probably have 3-4 years of experience under your belt and are sitting at the Senior Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager level.
Experience of working within a business which targets both b2b and b2c would be useful and any experience of the electrical industry would be amazing. Whilst there is a specialist digital team, we do need candidates who understand the full marketing mix including digital – you might not be handling all those digital elements on a day-to-day basis, but you do need to understand how everything marries together.
What’s on offer?
This is a company which has an incredibly low staff turnover and really does go out of its way to make its work environment the nicest it could be. They offer lots of training and development to ensure you reach your full potential. The salary for the role is £40,000 and £42,000 with lots of benefits and a decent holiday allowance. The role is fully office-based.Apply for role
