Marketing Officer

The role:

You will be working for a niche buying organisation established in the Midlands over 70 years’ ago, working within their specific events team.  You will be responsible for delivering and executing marketing strategies for fashion and home events at their conference venue.  This will include developing and managing marketing plans, creating, and executing marketing campaigns, delivering event materials and supporting the web and digital presence for the event.

You’ll manage marketing budgets and track marketing results as well as developing and managing marketing relationships with media, influencers, as well as other key stakeholders, creating pro-active and reactive press management for all shows.

You’ll create and manage marketing content, including website content, social media content and email marketing campaigns, as well as overseeing the production of event materials, working with external creatives and printers.  You’ll also work closely with the business development team to support lead generation and provide marketing support for sales efforts for the events and exhibitions.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for candidates with a minimum of 12 months’ commercial experience and probably a degree in business, marketing or similar.  It would be great if you’ve worked within retail or events previously, but you’ll have experience of social media marketing, web content management.

Any experience of creating photography, video content or digital design would be a real plus, as would knowledge of CRM systems.

Naturally, you’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels.

Salary is up to£27,500 and there’s the usual holiday allowance, plus your birthday off and the opportunity to buy additional days.  This is an opportunity to work with some fantastic brands as well as a diverse range of clients.
