PR & Comms Manager

Brief Overview

This is an opening with an extremely well-established marketing communications agency with offices in the heart of Manchester & Preston. With teams in PR, marketing, brand, design and print, and digital, they are focused on creating high-quality work for their clients, which include professional services, property, education, leisure, retail, public sector, and many more.

The role

We are looking for a talented business-to-business PR and communications professional to take a lead role in delivering impactful communications programmes for a portfolio of clients.  This role will include client liaison, planning, news release and content writing, media relations management, social media management and client reporting. You will be working on clients from sectors including property, professional services, business support and the public sector.

On a day to day, you will act as the day-to-day contact and adviser to clients & help create client content and editorial calendars.  You will also generate ideas for client content and stories / news & write regular content including blog posts, case studies and news releases.

You will also edit and proofread content & liaise with journalists and media titles to secure editorial coverage & upload content to client websites as well as third party channel.  A part of the role will involve managing client owned channels including social media & collaborate with design teams to produce high quality visual content & manage client relationships and uphold rigorous service standards.

What we’re looking for

Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and a hard-working professional with proven news writing skills and the ability to bring subjects to life with sparkling writing and stories. We are looking for someone who has good experience and knowledge of working with the media & will people currently working in agency, inhouse or business journalism roles.

Relevant experience in either property, professional services, business support or the public sector would be an advantage, as well delivering programmes with clear goals and measurable results.  Proven writing experience, especially in business-to-business sectors and across formats such as news releases, case studies and blog posts is also important.
