SAE – Content Marketing

Brief Overview

Since their inception, this independent content marketing agency which has a global reach & has grown consistently, picking up a few awards along the way, and because of this, are looking to add a Content savvy Senior Account Executive to strengthen their team.

The role

The key focus of this role will be working some very interesting B2B clients from energy & architecture to interiors & the built environment. They develop a range of content related projects – blog posts, editorial articles, thought leadership & white papers to curating video and social media posts – supporting posts with paid for activity, managing and growing the client’s presence/communities across a range of channels.  This is run in conjunction with brand awareness to lead nurturing & outreach campaigns.

You will report to an account director and have support from a digital executive, content writers and designers to deliver across several growing clients.  As part of the delivery team, you will be responsible for crafting content that enriches clients’ communication channels. From research reports, to opinion pieces, to in-depth features for a specific publication through to thought leadership blog posts and general marketing copy. It also requires the creation of content in easy to digest forms, taking technical, often complex topics and translating into engaging, value added content, drafted to grab the attention of the reader.

From time to time, you will be involved in media relations – crafting content to secure editorial opportunities, managing incoming media enquiries and building relationships with industry journalists.   A key part will also be client contact as well as analytics and evaluation – using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with at least two – three years’ experience under their belt & essential competencies will include; solid expertise of the digital content space, great copywriting ability and, a strong sense of what works across social channels and the ability to work with clients across B2B sectors.   Experience of working with businesses in the built environment – particularly commercial interiors would be quite handy for this role.

You will need strong client liaison and account handling experience, be digitally savvy and understand what type of content is needed for each channel and how it all comes together. You would also need to be able to produce short form copy such as blogs, emailers, press releases, LinkedIn and web articles and social media posts (organic).

In some respects, it may suit an experienced PR practitioner who is more at home with content, but still enjoys client contact & working on a mix of campaigns. Agency expertise is preferred but candidates dealing with numerous stakeholders in a B2B environment will be considered.
