A brand-new role has just landed, and it’s with a trailblazer of a company that is very much marketing-led and one of the reasons why they’re looking to expand their content marketing team even further and hire a savvy Content Writer.
When you hear finance, you may be guilty of thinking that the subject matter is a bit dry – but, these guys aren’t like that at all! They take a fresh approach to the market and prefer to focus on their partners they work with, which ranges from sports & music to leisure & lifestyle, so the content has a different edge. Over the past few years, they grown significantly and organically, expanding the marketing team of 3 to 15.
The primary objective of this role is to execute a wide range of written content for multiple brands under the main umbrella. This content will focus on sports, music, and various other recreational activities.
You will write insightful, engaging, and well-optimised content that delivers a high level of organic traffic, increases assisted conversions, and creates an optimal user experience. You will also increase social engagement and wider brand awareness through the creation of eye-catching content, particularly on Instagram & build strong relationships across Marketing to ensure content strategy aligns with marketing strategy, business objectives, and seasonality.
What we’re looking for
Previous experience in a copy writing role (ideally 3+ years) as well as knowledge of researching, drafting, and publishing online content in a variety of forms, including news, features, blogs, and press releases.
You’ll also need experience in managing social media channels, primarily Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter as well as marketing and social media analytics, reporting, and strategy.
A passionate / interest in sports and leisure and experience of pitching ideas to journalists, bloggers, and key contacts is handy, coupled with a sound understanding of SEO principles, onsite keyword optimisation, and other related digital marketing tactics.
