Senior Marketing Manager

Brief Overview

This is an opening for a savvy B2B focused marketer to join the central marketing department of a global player.  Recognised as a world leader in their given field of expertise, they help organisations with their assets, products and infrastructure, increase productivity and foster a more responsible, sustainable culture.

The role

You will develop and lead the UK strategy to facilitate the overall growth of one of their key business areas which has a lean towards the environmental protection and social responsibility arena.  The role will focus on growth markets and by applying market specific strategy, deliver the plan of increasing market share, revenue and/ or profit.

You will develop and manage a communication strategy for the business area, positioning them as a ‘voice of the market’ / ‘strategic partner’ & manage outbound communications for the UK business. Ensuring brand protection, consistency, and professional image of all operational external and internal communications.

Working with the Head of Communications & wider marketing team, you’ll garner a deep understanding of the marketplace, to enable creation of new product development initiatives, working with the technical stakeholders.  A critical element will be to build strong stakeholder relationships across the business, enabling you to understand the challenges and priorities within the business & develop marketing strategies to support their work and generate interest in future new services.

You will provide content direction and creation, working with the rest of the marketing team in delivery and output & ensure the website and marketing channels are providing the viewer with the most relevant information on our services.  you’ll manage their core external agencies & working closely with the marketing team to plan, coordinate and support communications, products and publications related to events and campaigns.

What we’re looking for

Demonstrable senior experience in a marketing B2B environment with specific experience of developing marketing and communication strategies for the professional services, energy, sustainable or environmental sectors.   You’ll need the ability to take a potentially complex and technically orientated service, challenge or product and present it in a meaningful, succinct, and understandable format

Experience of developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships across a matrix organisation, a true business partner approach is important, plus knowledge of working with external PR & digital agencies.

You’ll need experience of running a team, driving awareness campaigns, and will enjoy getting stuck in, from idea to delivery & ideally be savvy with marketing campaign tools such as Hubspot, SalesForce etc. as well as design packages, media formats from traditional printed copy to video and motion graphic.
