If you aren’t doing something that is moving you forward, or fulfilling your creative beliefs and armoury, please take a moment to read over this.
It’s an opening with a mid-sized agency that has heaps of prestige and substance, owned by people who want to move you forward, will help during the tough times, and celebrate the good times. They’ve been around a long time, but have never stopped learning and evolving, and simply have that feel-good factor about them.
Set in the heart of Lancashire, in a sublime office setting which is all geared towards staff welfare and development, the level of their creative offering is way ahead of the curve, plus their employee benefits are way better than most.
We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to help shape interactive digital experiences and websites with outstanding user experience and user conversion at its core. The role leans more towards to the design and aesthetics of websites, and it’s also hybrid, so when you need a quiet time, feel free to leave the bus pass at home.
The client base includes some iconic names across the world of B2B and B2C, so plenty to get stuck into, and you will find yourself working collaboratively with a team of designers, developers, and project managers at all stages of the project life cycle.
As a team, they’re as grounded as they come but are no strangers to creating amazing experiences, award-winning designs, and intuitive interfaces. You will also be encouraged to make design decisions and will be trusted to translate any given brief into a clean modern user interface. It’s one of those roles where they want you to run with projects and involves very little management.
You will also be given the full scope to take on a project, giving attention to both the finer details and the big picture, and take a full spectrum mentality that includes focusing on the execution, strategy, and vision.
What we’re looking for
The title of the role is reflective of the size of the agency; they aren’t huge but want you to enjoy a responsible role which will hopefully give your career a lift and a move in the right direction. We’re looking for someone who is equally as comfortable crafting immersive journeys as they are in taking the client on that design journey. Agency experience is important because you’ll be up and running as soon as you join.
The work they do has illuminated the brand presence of their clients to unprecedented levels and your role will be to harness and add value to these relationships. Therefore, you’ll have a deep understanding of digital graphic design, typography, visual hierarchy, and user interface design. You’ll be highly proficient in UI design and have an extremely good understanding of layout, grid systems, UI best practices, accessibility, and design systems.
You’ll also be able to design micro-interactions and create immersive user interfaces that encourage user action and conversion. Highly experienced working in Figma, being proficient in its UI-specific design and prototype features such as auto-layout, component properties and interactive components. On the UX side of things, you’ll ideally be able to create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides and user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas.
What’s on offer?
A salary of up to £40,000, plus, you will also be working in an environment which positively encourages career and personal development coupled with the opportunity to work on brands which will give your CV kudos and gravitas. This can be as hybrid as you like, but it would be ideal if you could spend time in the office when projects are flying around, and where people collaboration is important.
Culture is huge and it will only suit someone who is grounded and approachable and is simply top-notch at creating superb client and inter-agency relationships as you will be running key projects, with existing and potential clients, leading and owning the main relationships.Apply for role
