The primary purpose of the SEO Manager role is to develop and execute the SEO strategy for their multiple product websites and maximise the performance and ROI of the channels. On a day to day basis, you’ll be managing the SEO and Content team which consisting of 5 members, always on hand to ensure they deliver the agreed content pieces and creative campaigns, using a variety of SEO software to monitor performance and identify opportunities. As well as this, you’ll be working closely with IT to ensure technical and content improvements are implemented and will manage the long-term migration of all existing product websites, whist also growing the domain through acquisition of links and mentions via the outreach of creative content marketing campaigns.
You will also make on-going improvements to existing on-site content, ensuring it is correctly optimised for target keywords and, and will continuously produce relevant and topical blog content showcasing all their products as both market-leaders and thought-leaders. As well as effectively using social media to ensure maximum exposure.
What we’re looking for
This is a chance to work for a very grounded and culturally sound organisation but, it is essential that you possess solid experience in delivering improvements in SEO performance across multiple websites and have a strong understanding of the changing search landscape and Google update history. Line management experience is imperative as is your knowledge of content marketing and link building using only ethical methods as well as know-how across a range of digital media outputs such as blogging, infographics, case studies, podcasts, video, etc.
It may suit an agency practitioner looking to move client-side as you will be managing and delivering a wide range of projects and must be used to prioritising a large workload. Able to co-ordinate and motivate a team to deliver a high standard of work is also important as is strong working knowledge of Google Search Console and working with SEO tools e.g. SEM Rush, Majestic, Ahrefs and MOZ
