Social Media Manager

Brief Overview

There is a mountain of evidence to suggest that people perform better in an environment where people are treated fairly and given more than enough rope to develop & this one such agency.  They just do things in the right way & aren’t too big so you’re just a cog; everyone gets involved in everything from small briefs to much larger campaigns.

The role

You’ll work on a collection of household names, across the world of B2C & B2B from manufacturers to sport as well as up and coming lifestyle brands & a bit of tech thrown in for good measure. You’ll look after all aspects of their social media from planning through to execution and analysis as well as an opportunity to grow their social media offering in new & exciting ways.   You’ll be working closely with the owners of the agency to shape what they do, how and who they do it for as well as managing their offering for existing clients.

Sometimes you’ll be doing this under your own steam, mostly though you’ll be briefing & working closely with their creative team; producing interesting and clever ideas for content that engages and excites their clients’ communities and followers.   You’ll also be writing blog posts, tweets and status updates in a style that fits their clients’ brand guidelines, working alongside account handling experts to create and implement the best social media strategies.

You will also plan content updates with military precision so that everything is posted on time & formulate paid promotion strategies for a wide range of content, managing a number of different communities in a flexible & responsive way.

What we’re looking for

You’re always tweeting, blogging or snapping and could explain the benefits of TikTok to anyone plus an ability to write in different tones of voice to fit different clients. A creative streak – you’ll be quite comfortable using software like Photoshop and Adobe Spark Post to create whatever snippets of content you need plus a desire to grow, develop and be part of something special.

You’ll also need the ability to manage a number of different projects at the same time & be used to creating content in all formats, from animated GIFs to blog posts.

Years of experience isn’t paramount, but you’ll need to show how you’ve created some savvy & switched on attention-grabbing social content that delivers & drives engagement.   Time served in an agency would be a big help but those in a consumer in-house setting may also want to consider this.

What’s on offer
