Thanks to continuous new business wins it’s a really exciting time to join this vibrant, award-winning agency as they have a brand new opening for a Social Media Manager.

The role

While the agency offers some social, they’re looking to enhance their offering which is why they’re looking to bring a dedicated Social Media Manager on board to lead and act as the go-to person for all things social, you’ll also be on hand to teach the team a thing or two, as well!

The agency itself has been on the scene for years and have built a solid reputation for itself. Initially a dedicated PR agency, in recent years they have branched out into the world of digital and marketing, with PR still being at the heart of what they do. They have a list of clients worth boasting about, that span the property, construction, healthcare, retail, and food and drink sectors, and thanks to their know-how they’re often adding new client accounts.

As this is a new appointment, it’s one that you’ll be able to make your own. Reporting directly to the senior management team, you’ll have the authority to manage client social media accounts and run paid campaigns. It’ll be down to you to generate captivating content that increases engagement across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and other channels such as email. The content you create could include blog posts, stories, reels, images, and email campaigns, and you’ll need to ensure that it resonates with audiences.  As well as this, you’ll be tasked with reporting on the performance of digital campaigns, using Google Analytics, and other software to do so.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need a history in social media, able to generate content that captures an audience and engages. You’ll have experience of using analytics tools and social media scheduling tools, such as Hootsuite, and will be able to craft compelling copy for a range of industries. You’ll also need to have experience in an agency setting.

Plate-spinners are required for this role, as the Social Media Manager will be managing multiple social accounts, and ensure that all campaigns are kept on top of and adjusted when necessary. To top it off, you’ll need to be naturally creative, thinking up different approaches and putting forward your ideas to clients, and internally.

The agency offers a hybrid working policy and as they’re easily commutable, you could be based in Birmingham or even London, as long as you don’t mind travelling to the Nottingham office when needed. Salary is dependent on your level. If you’re a Social Media Executive with a couple of years of experience under your belt, then they would offer up to £25,000. If you’re already at the Social Media Manager level and want the opportunity to lead then they would offer up to £30,000.
