Social Media Manager

Brief Overview

Would you like to ‘own’ the Social Media for an international home durables business?  If you live, breathe, and sleep social media, then this role is not to be missed.

The role:

Our client is an international business with multiple brands within the homeware industry, and they’re now looking to employ their first stand alone Social Media Manager.  Social has previously been managed by individual brand managers, but the focus of the business is now to employ an expert to take the offering to the next level.

It’s an incredibly exciting time for the business which has predominately sold to retailers, as they’ve now got their own D2C ecommerce platform offering even more potential for growth and more opportunities for marketing and social.  Working closely with brand managers, marketing managers, designers and the ecommerce sales team (as well as an external PR agency), you will lead and drive the social strategy to generate the consumer community their brands will thrive in.

You’ll creative innovative and engaging social campaigns, recognising the individuality of each brand to drive content and engagement.  You’ll ensure consistency between all social communications and be creative in your content, tactical plans and execution in order to maximise ROI.  The vast majority of the social you will produce will be organic, although you will work alongside the ecommerce team which manages PPC.  This is an incredibly commercial role, so you will be constantly liaising with your colleagues to ensure maximum exposure for the right products at the right time, whilst being aware of the latest trends and technologies.

You’ll write content, project manage film/video etc. and will work across all the mainstream social channels including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Youtube, Pinterest as well as moving into channels which aren’t currently utilised, such as Tiktok and you will develop robust KPI’s and rigorous monthly analysis in order to drive future offline and online growth activity.

What we’re looking for:

Our client would love someone who has worked within an agency environment who wants to work in-house, or someone who has worked across multiple brands in a consumer/retail environment with knowledge of the social media landscape including latest releases and tactics.   You’ll have solid commercial knowledge of all key social platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram. Tiktok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn as well as analytical tools such as Google Analytics.

You’ll have proven ability to utilise content strategy, SEO, publishing algorithms and PPC to optimise growth metrics and you’ll be a real stickler for analysis ensuring you can develop strategies, tactics, and measurable implementation plans.  You’ll be able to juggle multiple projects on an on-going basis and will meet deadlines through efficient organisational skills, and you’ll be enthusiastic about working in a really fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What’s on Offer?

This is a big, ambitious role where the rewards will be fantastic for the right person.  The offices are based in Birmingham, with great transport links and plenty of parking, but there isn’t a necessity to be in the office 5 days per week, more likely 2/3 days.
