This well-known charity in Leicestershire has decided to expand their digital function by taking on a brand new Social Media and Paid Advertising Manager to support the newly appointed Digital Marketing Manager. Together, you will be the ‘go to’ people for everything digital within the charity and will provide some much-needed specialist digital knowledge to a busy marketing team that’s thriving. There will be plenty of opportunities to offer up your own ideas in order to help improve digital marketing strategies and you will be encouraged to look at new technologies in order to grow the social media offering. This role is a 50/ 50 split between social media and paid advertising. You will be responsible for developing and managing the charity’s social media activity including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, increasing audiences and raising awareness by creating high quality, relevant content, as well as monitoring online discussions relating to the charity and any associated subjects.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Social Media professional, who has first-hand experience of handling paid advertising campaigns and budgets. This may have been in a wider digital marketing role or in a pure social media position. You’ll also have proven experience in monitoring analytics. Ideally, you’ll be familiar with Paid Media, Facebook Business Manager, Ads on Instagram, various other ad formats, plus know how to build and schedule audiences. Good copywriting and proofreading skills are essential.
The icing on the cake would be a background in working for charities or for a business in the wider not for profit sector!
