Brief Overview

This is an opening with a creative agency based on the outskirts of Staffordshire with clients across a variety of sectors including technology, food and drink, charity, and manufacturing. Their work covers everything from brochures, branding and advertising, to websites, email and social campaigns, as well as packaging and POS and this is a key opening in their web development team.

The role

Working alongside their Head of Development, you will work with a range of businesses, creating emotive and innovative websites, alongside practical digital marketing solutions and apps. Some of these projects will be from the ground up so there will be plenty of responsibility from day one. You will also act as the link between the client services and creative teams, planning the optimisation of website content, landing pages, and ad copy. You will also be involved in developing effective and successful SEO strategies and conducting adequate keyword, competitor, and industry research to ensure successful SEO campaigns. You will also identify and correct technical SEO issues, collect data, and provide clients with monthly SEO reports of the progress of their digital marketing, whilst always keeping abreast of SEO and digital marketing trends.

The key element of this role will be your ability to develop quality websites to design specifications using best practise coding methods, that are mobile adaptive and functional across all modern web browsers, as well as develop HTML based emails to design specifications.

What we’re looking for

It is essential that you sound experience developing websites in popular content management systems and frameworks such as WordPress and Magento and have the ability to create custom themes and plugins to meet client needs. You will need a high level of expertise with HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP as well as an understanding of SEO and the requirements of websites to perform well on Google, both on-page and off-page.  A familiarity with Google Ads including the planning and strategy of small to large scale Google Ads campaigns will also be handy.
