PR Executive

Brief Overview

Not every PR role gives you stories worth telling.  This one does.

We’re working with a business that’s transforming overlooked places into thriving destinations. Their projects sit at the intersection of design, community, culture and social impact, creating spaces that genuinely change how people live, work and connect.

They’re behind some of the UK’s most ambitious regeneration and placemaking projects, regularly attracting media attention, public interest and industry recognition. As their portfolio continues to grow, they’re looking for a PR & Engagement Coordinator to help shape the conversation.

The role

This is far more than writing press releases behind a desk.

One day you could be pitching a story to a national publication. The next, hosting a community consultation event, building relationships with local stakeholders, or supporting journalists covering a major project launch. It’s a varied, visible role that combines media relations, storytelling and public engagement in equal measure.

Working closely with a grand Head of Marketing, you’ll become the go-to person for PR across the business, helping to ensure the right stories reach the right audiences.  A large part of your time will be spent creating and pitching compelling stories that generate coverage across regional, national, trade and specialist media. You’ll identify opportunities, build relationships with journalists, monitor industry trends and spot moments where the business can contribute to wider conversations.

Alongside this, you’ll play an important role in community engagement. You’ll help plan and deliver public consultation events, engage with local stakeholders, gather feedback and ensure communities have a voice in projects that affect them.

About you

You might currently be working in a PR agency, press office or in-house communications team and are looking for a role where your work has genuine visibility & impact.

You’re a confident writer who knows how to turn information into a story, enjoys building relationships and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone to a journalist. Experience working alongside local authorities, public sector organisations or community stakeholders would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, curious and comfortable managing multiple projects at once. You’ll enjoy getting out into the real world as much as working on media campaigns and will have a genuine interest in how places, communities and cities evolve.

What’s on offer

You’ll join a creative, ambitious & purpose-driven business that genuinely does things differently. Alongside a salary of up to £35,000, you’ll benefit from ongoing training and development, flexibility when needed, regular company socials and the opportunity to play a key role in some of the UK’s most talked-about projects.

If you’re looking for a PR role with substance, variety and stories that people actually want to read, this could be worth a conversation.
