Ref:

Community and Influencer Director – Hybrid.

Brief Overview

This is an incredibly rare role for the Midlands, and we’re delighted to be working with one of our longstanding clients as they recruit this brand-new position. Our client sits within the software space and their rise has been nothing short of phenomenal.

There’s lots of exciting change happening at the moment and their focus is to bring on board someone to head up their community team, with the aim of turning users into advocates and brand ambassadors.

The role:

The main purpose of this role is to lead the newly created community team, with the aim of turning users into advocates and brand ambassadors.  The brand is no newbie to the market, but the time is right to try and shift some of their momentum towards influencers and community and they need a real expert to help them achieve this.  Their software is within the creative sector and their business has gradually shifted from one targeting consumers to being a professional essential with outstanding results.

Reporting into the Marketing Director, the main duties of the role will include Leading the Community Team to support, engage and delight the Community; take responsibility for all strategy related to community growth and engagement – using data to inform content plans and campaigns to maximise engagement.

You’ll ensure all creative content campaigns are measurable against key results and are able to achieve their objectives.  You’ll work extensively within other teams within the business to ensure contribution towards community comms as well as ensuring they have a consistent, data driven tone of voice across all campaigns.

What we’re looking for:

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years in a senior influencer type role, successfully growing a community base globally as well as having experience forming and nurturing 1-2-1 relationships with celebrities and influencers as well as growing large scale online communities.  The ideal candidate will also have leadership experience, and you will manage a couple of teams initially, and in the long term will grow the internal community team.

Any experience from either the creative or software industry would be ideal, but other industries which would be of interest include gaming, music or possible sports-related industries.
You’ll be an excellent mentor with the ability to coach people and you’ll be data driven with focussed attention to detail. Naturally, you’ll have technical skills in all the leading analytics, advertising and data visualisation tools.

What’s on offer?

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, 3 days in the office.  This client has superb offices with lots of rest spaces and some start of the art tech, so being in the office will not be a chore!  There may be occasions to work from a London office, but this won’t be a regular thing so being within commuting distance of Nottingham is essential.  There is a small relocation package available for those who might want to move for the role.

Salary is between £60-70,000 dependent on experience, 27 days holiday with a scheme to buy further holiday.  Other benefits include private media, life assurance, and an employee assistance programme.  Softer benefits include free monthly lunch and a monthly free car wash!  There’s also loads of free parking on site.
