Marketing Manager

Brief Overview

A Marketing Manager position has opened with a property specialist that offers luxury living through individual apartments and whose purpose is to create vibrant and sustainable communities for people who wish to live securely and independently. The role is brand new as they start to transition their marketing from external agencies in-house.

The role

You will play a pivotal role in creating, implementing, and overseeing marketing initiatives, as well as measuring and analysing their effectiveness. The primary objective is to create new business leads (B2C) via social media and native advertising.

Key responsibilities of the Marketing Manager will include developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve company goals, including identifying target audiences, channels, and messaging. You will create compelling marketing content, including advertisements, social media posts, blog articles, videos, and other creatives. Alongside, overseeing the development and maintenance of any landing pages, ensuring it is optimized for user experience and search engines.  Additionally, you’ll be involved with print collateral – glossy brochures and leaflets especially.  This organisation’s USP is pure luxury so their marketing collateral exemplifies that.

You’ll need to understand paid advertising as it will be a key part of your role to execute online advertising campaigns, including PPC, native advertising, and social media ads, and look at implementing SEO and SEM strategies to improve online visibility and drive organic and paid traffic. You’ll also be brilliant at Google Analytics.  One of the key objectives of this role is to work out what works and to understand why. You can also weave your creative magic by growing the company’s social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Being the key point of contact for the agencies is also essential. As the sole internal marketer, you will manage all day-to-day relationships and whilst the aim is to eventually migrate away from the agency, this won’t happen immediately.

What we’re looking for

In essence, you’ll be an experienced Marketing Manager who can demonstrate a broad range of marketing skills, including digital and print. You’ll have a relevant degree or equivalent in Marketing or Business and at least 4 years’ experience in a commercial role. You’ll need a sound grasp of the most common digital channels such as social, paid media, SEO, Google Analytics, SEO tools, CRM systems and social media platforms.

Experience in the property, lifestyle or related sectors would be quite handy too, although not essential. Furthermore, you’ll be happy to turn your hand to taking some photos and videos for events and chatting to the ‘residents’ to devise case studies and positive, proactive PR stories.

What’s on offer?

Salary is between £32,000 and £40,000 per year plus company performance bonuses, healthcare and pension. This is an office-based role in Worcester with the possibility of travelling to other locations, as necessary. Hybrid working may be a possibility for the right candidate but this will be after the probationary period. This is very much a marketing role which will work in tandem with some hugely experienced salespeople and they want someone who can grow and develop, who is hands-on but full of realistic, creative ideas.
