Commercial Director
Brief Overview
Some agencies grow because of hype. Others grow because the work’s good, the clients stick, and people don’t want to leave. This one sit firmly in the second camp.
Over the past few years, they’ve built something genuinely solid. A B2B agency that quietly does very good work for clients who expect more than surface-level thinking. No smoke and mirrors. No churn & burn culture. Just smart people doing work that lands.
The retention is strong. The culture is grounded. The ambition is there, just without the noise or ego that usually comes with it.
The role
Most agencies have people who can talk about marketing. Far fewer have someone who can connect marketing to growth & that’s where you come in.
This is the kind of role where you’re trusted to own your space rather than just slot into someone else’s process. A Commercial Director who can help clients make smarter decisions, find new opportunities, and get more value from every pound they invest.
You’ll work closely with senior client leaders, helping them connect business goals with marketing activity that moves the needle. You’ll challenge thinking, shape strategy, support new business and make sure great ideas become measurable results.
You’ll also play a key role in the future direction of the agency.
You
Some people see campaigns. You see opportunities. We’re looking for someone who can connect marketing, commercial thinking & business growth.
It’s imperative that proven experience in a senior B2B marketing role & someone who can sit with a CEO, CMO or Sales Director in the morning, challenge a strategy in the afternoon, and put a client at ease before the day is out.
What matters isn’t your title. What matters is that you’re commercially minded & can influence senior people, and know how to turn marketing activity into business growth. You’re comfortable around senior decision-makers, enjoy asking the questions others don’t, and can spot an opportunity before it appears on a spreadsheet.
Why join?
This isn’t the loudest agency in Manchester. It’s one of the more solid ones who are seriously doing extremely well.
A salary of between £65-75k with excellent benefits & you’ll be joining an agency full of genuinely good people.
Ambitious, but not political. Commercial, but not corporate. Successful, but still grounded.
The kind of place where good ideas win, egos don’t, and people enjoy coming to work.
