The role

Based smack-bang in the heart of Manchester, you’ll be joining an innovative and uber-successful agency that is doing extremely well and picking up more than their fair share of awards. They’re relatively new but the agency is full of first-class PR and marketing professionals that, collectively, are performing brilliantly and making a fair bit of noise within the industry, so to join now is pretty much the perfect time.

The uniqueness of this role is that you will work as part of a close-knit and vibrant team, developing and implementing dynamic communications campaigns on behalf of an impressive stable of B2B and consumer clients. Sectors range from architects, property developers, manufacturers, food and drink, and law firms through to construction companies, and banks. You will manage and develop strategic objectives for a team of PR professionals, will be accountable for the success of this small team, and have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that clients feel they are getting consistently good consultancy advice and value. In addition, you will be involved in bringing in new business, handling market and client research, project managing the production of communications collateral, and developing creative communications strategies that meet a wide range of challenges. Without question, this is a hands-on role and you will be immersed in all sorts of campaigns as well as having the opportunity to play a significant part in the future growth and development of the agency.

What we’re looking for 

Due to the size and nature of the agency, we’d ideally like someone that is within a B2B agency environment, ideally as an experienced Senior PR Account Manager or PR Account Director. You will be a seasoned communications practitioner and media operator, with experience of managing multiple client projects in order to deliver UK-wide campaigns, which means a passion for achieving results is essential. Needless to say, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be confident in identifying and pitching news and feature ideas, at home with digital and social media and be committed to adding value to our client relationships. You should also possess excellent people skills and be adept at applying these in various situations, whether it’s at a networking event, hosting a cross-agency meeting or managing junior members of your team.
