Account Manager

Brief Overview

Experienced Agency Account Manager required by this dynamic, growing Birmingham based, full-service agency.

It sounds cliché, but people really are the backbone of this agency (as well as an amazing office space!) and they know that without the right people their business can’t grow, which is why they invest and develop their people.  And that’s why this could be the perfect role for you!

The role:

This is a role for proven Account Manager.  Due to the current team set up which has involved a couple of recent promotions, they need someone who really knows what they’re doing when it comes to client management.  You’ll run a portfolio of your own clients which are primarily SME’s within the b2b sector (although there are some consumer clients on retainer).  This means that they don’t have a massive internal marketing resource, so you’ll really be their main marketing support.

Most of their work is digital, so you’ll be covering anything from search and display to email and social media, and you’ll be happy briefing internal teas to deliver, measure and optimise campaigns.

You’ll report into an Account Director, and you’ll implement all marketing strategies and campaigns, understanding your client’s goals and assisting the senior team to create an integrated marketing strategy that focuses on meeting them.  You’ll also oversee a couple of Account Executives, ensuring they can also grow within the business.

What we’re looking for:

You’ll have at least 6 months at Account Manager level in a marketing or full-service agency and be well-versed across all elements of marketing and digital – knowledge of inbound marketing and Hubspot would be fabulous!.

You’ll boss a proven track record of helping to run successful B2B marketing strategies and campaigns across a wide range of sectors.  Any experience of working with clients without SME’s or owner managers would be an advantage, but certainly isn’t essential.  Naturally, you’ll be commercially minded and have strong presentation and client management skills.

What’s on Offer?

Salary for the role will vary in terms of how much experience you have but is likely to be between £32-40k.  There’s a shared bonus scheme and they’ve also been known to throw some unexpected bonuses out there when they’re financially able to.

It’s a hybrid role, with one day working from home but the office is open 5 days per week if you would prefer. You’ll get your birthday off on top of the normal holiday allowances and whilst this is an agency role they’ve got a pretty healthy respect for a work life balance, so 90% of people are gone by 5.30 (except for the early finish on a Friday.

They’ve got the social life you’d expect of an agency environment, and they’re just all-round good people.   The offices are a true piece of Birmingham history and really are a little bit cool, close to the train stations and bus routes.
